Three Minute Thesis 3MT

What is 3MT?

3MT is the latest addition to the SRF and is a skills development activity that challenges students to explain their research project to a inter-professional audience in just three minutes. 

How to participate in 3MT

1) Students must submit an abstract to give an oral or poster presentation at the Student Research Forum held in March.
2) Select the option to participate in 3MT within the abstract submission screen.
3) Construct a single static power point slide.
4) Compete in the preliminary competition. 

The 2017 3MT finals will take place on Thursday, April 6th at 10:00 a.m. in the Beller conference rooms inside Hemneway. The 2016 3MT finalists were:

Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland which challenges research higher degree students to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance in just three minutes in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
